A season-long Bally’s Fantasy game to drive fan engagement for the two big US Major League Fishing competitions
Fishing may not command the same TV network coverage as the traditional Major League sports, but Major League Fishing (MLF) has a large and passionate following Stateside. Two of the biggest competitions are the MLF Bass Pro Tour and the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit, and this new Bally’s Fantasy game will enable fishing fans to get deeply involved in competition events – from the comfort of their living rooms.
This MLF Fantasy Fishing game has a lot in common with football ones: you sign up, build your roster of players (anglers in this case), and start a fantasy league.
The rules for MLF Fantasy Fishing are simple: prior to each Bass Pro Tour and Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit tournament stop, build your dream roster of 10 anglers for that particular fishery, choosing five anglers from each group/flight. At least one of those anglers from each group must be ranked No. 40 or below in Angler of the Year rankings, which prevents fans from just picking the ten top-rated anglers each time. Each angler will then earn points based on their performance over a weekend’s event.

This SportCaller-developed Fantasy game will update the anglers’ points and league scores in real-time during the various events, which leads to good bragging potential between members of friend-group leagues or players in the public league, as the tournament progresses.
There are great prizes on offer for each event, and the overall winner of each of the two public leagues at the end of the season gets to go on an all-expenses paid trip with a star angler.
Fishing fans can also get in on the Bass Pro Tour action with a separate SportCaller-developed predictor style game. Predict six outcomes from questions that lock before the start of nine specific events throughout the season. There will be prize winners for each event and an overall big winner – and the predictor game also provides bragging rights between users.
To streamline signup, the new games have been integrated with Major League Fishing Fan Pass login system, so users can simply use their MLF account login to play.
They are available in web versions and within the MLF app. Play the MLF Fantasy Fishing game here.
